Bygget av Forum Medicum har pågått för full fart under sommaren och vi kan nu se vårt framtida hus ta form på Sölvegatan! Bygget påverkar bland annat undervisningslokalerna på BMC och under hösten flyttar undervisningen till HSC, Margaretavägen 1B med början från terminsstarten den 30 augusti.
Nytt på HSC i höst!
Under sommaren har bibliotek och kursexpeditionen flyttat från BMC till HSC. Kursexpeditionen för läkarprogrammet är placerad på vån 3 på HSC och är öppen kl. 8 – 16.
Läkarprogrammet kommer att ha tillgång till tio stycken PBL-rum på HSC (varav fyra rum byggdes till under våren). PBL-rummen kommer att användas från terminsstart 30/8.
Den tidigare nedstängda datorsalen på HSC kommer att användas periodvis under hela höstterminen.
Paviljonger kommer under hösten upprättas i anslutning till HSC för att säkerställa mer utrymme för nytillkomna studenter. Det finns i nuläget inget fastställt datum för när paviljongbygget är klart. När paviljongerna är på plats kommer all undervisning på BMC omlokaliseras till HSC.
Hur många nytillkomna studenter blir det på HSC?
Antalet nytillkomna studenter på HSC beräknas från och med 30/8 vara cirka 300-400 fördelat över veckan.
När paviljongerna är på plats kommer antalet totalt nytillkomna studenter vara cirka 550-600 studenter fördelat över veckan.
Forum Medicums projektgrupp kommer att bjuda in till ett öppet informationsmöte när tidsplanen för paviljongerna är fastställd.
Forum Medicum – what will happen to study spaces at BMC and HSC autumn 2021?
The construction of the Faculty of Medicine’s new building Forum Medicum is in full swing, which will affect the study spaces at BMC. Study spaces at BMC will gradually move, starting August 30, to the Health Sciences Center (HSC), Margaretavägen 1B.
What’s new at HSC this autumn?
The faculty library at BMC has relocated to HSC. Library services such as loans and returns, study places, and the library service point at the current BMC premises will temporarily move into the existing Health Science Centre (HSC). The future Medical Faculty Library in Lund will be located at Forum Medicum.
The course help desk for medical programme students has relocated to HSC, floor 3. The help desk is open from 8 – 16 during the week.
The medical programme will have access to ten ”PBL” rooms at HSC (of which four rooms were added during the spring). The ”PBL” rooms will be used from the start of the semester 30/8.
The previously closed computer room at HSC will be used periodically throughout the autumn term.
Pavilions will be established during the autumn at the HSC site to ensure more space for new students. There is currently no set date for when the pavilion construction will be completed. Once the pavilions are in place, all teaching at BMC will be relocated to HSC.
How many new students will be coming to HSC?
The number of new students at HSC is estimated from 30/8 to be approximately 300-400 distributed over the week.
Once the pavilions are in place, the number of total new students will be approximately 550-600 students distributed over the week.
Forum Medicum’s project group will invite staff members to an open information meeting when the schedule for the construction of pavilions is set.
